The Paper Crowns are an alt country, indie rock, alt roots band started by Nicole Pond and Spiro Nicolopoulos. Their music is a mix of modern indie rock sensibilities with traditional blue grass, blues and country. Their sound is likened to the California country styles of the 1970's, the psychedelic mellowness of the Grateful Dead, the rock exploration of Wilco, the vocal harmonies of Fleetwood Mac....all fitting snugly into the modern new grass and Americana genres.
