Album Notes

The Party is Jason Cassidy, longtime Chico, CA noise-pop maker (Cowboy, Kick 'em, Mid Fi, Pep Rally). For this project, he has recruited his best friends to help him play in a style similar to his favorite sad-bastard songwriters--Leonard Cohen, Smog, Nick Cave--and create an expressive little soundtrack ranging from sad waltzy folk songs to moody (and still a little noisy) lightly experimental pop songs.
