Attention QUICK fans!! The new album, (re)begin,
is out now under the new band name: THE VANDALAYS!
Did you catch it? "Graduation Day" was recently featured on "NBC Nightly News, Featuring Brian Williams", during a news piece on college grads!!
THE QUICK PUTS SPARK INTO POWER POP.
Once in a while a group emerges with a subtle twist on the standard formula or a spirit that sets them apart. This release is infused with an infectious enthusiasm. The driving hooks are hard to forget....

THE POWER OF POP.
The trick with getting the right kind of attention for your music nowadays is being distinctive. The Quick lay it on thick with all the trademark power pop moves but it's the solid vocals and deft guitar work that demands from the listener more than a cursory listen. Lots to admire here, this Jeff(Shoes)Murphy produced EP is an intriguing taster. Let's hope there's more....

A DELIGHT FILLED WITH WONDERFUL SOMGS AND IMPRESSIVE PLAYING. the band stays within the pure pop framework and deliver it with quite a bit of passion and enthusiasm. Terrific guitar solos working hand-in-hand with a lovely melodies over a steady rock beat. Revel in the joy of these pop hooks. It delivers a great deal of fun on the pure pop sound. Definitely a band to watch for, Mr. Dee-lish is an impressive outing. The futures' looking bright. ***1/2

Shake It Up
THE QUICK PACK A LOT OF GUITAR POP PUNCH. Very reminiscent of 80's Power Pop...this is catchy, hummable stuff that doesn't sacrifice muscle for melody.
For those fans of Tommy Tutone, Twilley, and the Shoes who have been at a loss for the last few years, The Quick should put some bounce back in their step.

Wow! What a find! The Quick,(now known as "The Vandalays"), released this Jeff Murphy("Shoes")- produced EP a few years ago,(in fact, Mr. Murphy contributes backgound vocals on "Caroline is Crying"). For those who love the "power-pop" genre - this is a "must have"!
