Album Notes

Yeah, the big stumper is when people ask us what type of sound we have and I guess the best way to describe it is this. Go nab John Steinbeck and pour a little soul on him, put him in a big frying pan with some pop, a little country, and a shake of blues. Get that boiling and just keep it there until the bar closes.

Trying to sound like anything in particular wasn't something we really even thought of. Our own sound turned out to be different and to us is still the most fun to play so yeah, why not. I mean there's nothing better than watching someone on the dance floor bruise their pelvis dancing to some jam they've never even heard of by a local band they didn't know existed.

I can tell sometimes people are just dying to let loose. You know, like grab your stiff old husband and push him on to the floor one last time to make things just right kind of thing. I really believe these are moments by which small musical successes are measured because without fail this is exactly when we are asked what types of covers we know. Hey, now we respond only one way. You just grab your people and move on out there and we'll one up ya. When it's over and your near horizontal, you just stay right there because here we come.

It's not that there are too many juke-boxes in this world or we don't have a hundred musical influences shaping us at all times, but hey... for the next three hours we just want everyone to know what theReds are all about.

TheReds are: Joel Detter - Vocals & Rhythm Guitar, Dustin Hoffman - Lead Guitar, Mike Ronfeld - Drums and Jeremiah Wagner - Bass. We'll catch you at the next show!
