Therese is an Oregon native who developed a passion for playing piano at the age of six. Her fascination with those eighty-eight keys progressed to playing at community functions, with emphasis on music from the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods. Eventually, her creativity and desire to learn lead her to a BS in Music Ed from Duquesne University, PA.
Upon graduation, her degree in music was in little demand; however, she pursued an alternate career, while dappling in music on the side.
In just the past two years, she's developed her music, more than ever, as a rewarding side career. Now, her primary focus is in composing and performing. She plays regularly at the Portland International Airport. Travelers stop to take in her soothing melodies that are evolving into a mix of Classical and light jazz. She also shares her compositions at various venues in the Portland metro area.
Butterflyte is Therese's first full solo piano album. A captivating solo piano collection, weaving classical, impressionistic and new-age style, painting whimsical snapshots of the natural world.
