David S Theroff is a singer/songwriter/guitarist based out of San Jose, CA. He began song writing in 1974, and performing in 1975 throughout the Illinois area and is currently performing in the San Francisco Bay Area.

David got introduced to music at a young age by his Grandfather who played Austrian polka's by ear on his button accordian, as well as from his mom who played records by Ray Charles, Nat King Cole, and many others. He was a music major at SIU in Carbondale Illinois, and started performing during that time. He is trained in Clarinet, Oboe, Piano and voice.

His interest in creating music came from a point of where music was heading during the late 70's.

His influences include Harry Chapin, Crosby/Stills/Nash/Young, Leo Kottke, Doc Watson, Strawbs, and just about anyone who has made it playing acoustic guitar.

David is a good singer, nice pitch and character.David has a great sense of melody, rhythm, and harmony, the three main elements of music.David creates songs that clearly come from the heart and has the ability to touch the heart in others.
