Album Notes

In the late 70’s David S Theroff was a music major at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale Ill.
He was one of the first people to sign up for the first Electronic Music class the University offered. The studio was full of modern equipment of the day including a Moog Modular Analog Synth.
The person who introduced him to “concrete sounds” and to what then was termed “New Music” (synth music that had classical music notation scores for others to perform from) was Dr. Heidi Von Gutten the resident music professor of the time. She was the most supportive and encouraging teacher David has ever had, and in 1977 she submitted one of David’s earlier works “Wind Frost” to local radio stations.
This CD entitled “The Human, An Ambient Journey of One Human Life” is a representation of David’s life; how it would be described if the only way of doing so was with music instruments and sythns. The music was designed to promote the heart rate as well as to calm the mind, depending on which track you listen to.
