The Roots Bongo Band is the first African Reggae Band to combine traditional Roots Reggae with a European Influence brought to the band by their female lead singer. Based in London, UK, and Banjul, The Gambia, the band performs live mainly in Africa at the moment. Their music can be explained as combining Roots Reggae with the occasional Pop Reggae track and plenty African features and vibes.
The aim of their innovative debut album 'Leaders of Tomorrow' is to present the unity of cultures as a future aim not only in music, but general partnership.
'By bringing Africa and Europe closer together, to live in 'Peace & Love' we can be the 'Leaders of tomorrow'!'
This music is meant to inspire people and make them realize their inner potential and strength, and to 'Never give up' however hard times may be!
From more traditional Roots Reggae tracks such as 'Leaders of Tomorrow' and 'If you love me', there are several Pop Reggae tracks such as 'My Pillow' and 'Never give it up', as well as various African influences as heard in 'Good Ways'.
This album should delightfully amaze even the most experienced and sophisticated Reggae lover.
