Album Notes

The Shout has mastered creative lyrics and modern rock and roll. The new album Identity Crisis is party born and performance driven. The CD doesn't come with a keg and tiki torches, but it does make you want to throw a block party. The harmonies on track one "Someday" lead right to the Brit-punk influenced "Rubber Stamps" and the energy holds out through the CD.

Track 9 "Chaotic Flowers" has a guitar and drum frenzy of energy that comes right from the eighties. Not the "Hey Mickey" 80's; the "Killing an Arab" and "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" 80's. The old school distorted guitar riffs and flowing dark lyrics lead right into the funniest song on this CD: "The Mullet Song." It's not hard to describe this song, it's an anthem for those who love their trucks, love to kick it on the front lawn and love to laugh at anything they feel like laughing at. The cover of "I Will Survive" is just as good; and even better if you have ever gone through an angry break-up with any girl. It has the gritty truth that is the man's perspective when love goes bad. "Walk of Shame" is all about girls that go for bad boys and end up hurt with shoes in hand the next day. "In love again, heels over head" is really the simplest way to describe what the song is about. The very last track is a bonus track; you just got to hear it for yourself.

Top LA and OC clubs can't get enough of The Shout. Look for them to be in venues all over California and coming to your state soon.

Air play for the mullet song
author: Gonzo
We've played the Mullet Song a couple of times on the show since we got it. It's cool because one of the guys on the show keeps complaining about his hair ... he, of course, should get a mullet. We're close enough to Kentucky for it to be REALLY fashionable. Thanks again. The tune is sure to be a regular part of the show in the coming weeks. -Gonzo WRZX-FM

I just noticed your bonus track
author: Cesar
I was listening to the C.D. last night (again by the way) and I just noticed your bonus track. Dude that last song sounds like my last girlfriend. In fact I thought you guys were singing about that dumb b***h!! It's like you wrote down everything I ever said about her. Anyways just wanted to say it was really funny and all my buddies think your C.D. is great. - Cesar
