One Way Trip to Dover

by The Surfers

The Surfers were formed in "1966" when then 13 year old Mike Anderson started jamming on guitar with 14 year old John Byrum. With the addition of 14 year old Jim Samples on drums and 15 year old Bobby Moser on bass they were ready to play their first gig at the Legion Hall in Madisonville. The Surfers won 3rd place in the state battle of the bands contest back in 1969 before going their separate ways in 1970. The Surfers where reunited in 2009 for a reunion dance and were stunned when over 600 people showed up. Since then they're back doing what they love best, writing new songs, seeing old friends and making new ones, while making that feel good music that they love. "Let the good times roll."
