Album Notes
The Tequila Rockingbirds were formed in 2007 with an objective to create a band with a very high level of musicianship and songwriting ability. We didn't do this because it was a smart thing to do, we did this because we felt the drive to do it. It's in our blood to write and perform music. We aspire to be one of the best bands that has ever existed, and with some of the best original music that has ever been created.

The goals in the beginning were to perform live as a cover band. The idea was to develop a local audience who would be aware of us so that when it came time to release original music, we'd have fans who would be interested in it. This proved to be an excellent objective, but the down side was that the band was in such high demand, it took us almost 3 years to make the time to begin working on our 1st album.

Due to this fact, we forced ourselves to play less in 2010-2011 so that we could record our first record. We didn't rush it. We aren't doing this to write and record mediocre music. We took our time because we aspired to create something that is on the same level as the music we enjoy. We believe we've done it, and we hope that when you listen you get as much satisfaction from it as we did recording it.

The album lyrical content itself is a bit of a concept album. The songs chronologically tell a story that is ours, but is also for everyone. It's about living an unfulfilled life but then having an 'eureka moment', and realizing you have to follow your dreams and share this knowledge with others. How many of us never have this moment?
