ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Tits (formerly The Titts) are an American rock ‘n’ roll trio formed in 2006. The band chose it’s name as a nod to a popular slang term meaning “cool” or “awesome,” i.e. the cats pajamas. The Tits blew into Nashville from Southern Illinois and have left a searing, smoldering burn on the local rock scene. Earning their rightful place among Nashville indie stalwarts, they were voted the October 2008 Deli Magazine Band of the Month and have accumulated a faithful following of old school hard rock enthusiasts. The Tits are also a favorite among like-minded local bands who often recruit them to play shows, knowing they can turn an empty venue into a packed party house. Employing Christian Rock on guitar, Sweet Davey Titties on bass and Tennessee local Hollywood Hearn on drums, the band are 70s rock architects with shows designed to pummel your eardrums and perk up your privates. With lyrics like, “It won’t hurt that bad/Oh baby, I like it raw,” any scenester lucky enough to experience the Tits before they start selling out stadiums knows they’ve witnessed the real deal. Heralded by some as the bastard son of an unprotected threeway between Lemmy, Lennon and Iggy, The Tits are intent on keeping dirty, fun and unpretentious rock and roll alive. In short, they’re here to blow your mind, buy you a beer and then steal your girlfriend.

The band rocks a fast, simple, loud, blistering, sloppy blues-based rock that’s everything pure, raucous, reckless and absent from most modern music. We’re talking vulgar hymns about dope, guns and fucking in the streets; early Guns ‘N’ Roses riffs reinterpreted by Black Flag and executed with the rawest of power by the Dead Boys.
-Seth Graves (Nashville Scene)

The Tits are balls-out rock at it’s finest. Revered by many as the best rock n roll band in Nashville, these three can pump out their originals or kick into covers the likes of the MC5 and Motorhead and never miss a beat. With an unprecedented amount of energy onstage and the taste and skill not seen in local rock for a long while, The Tits are definitely an act to catch, and one almost impossible to not get into.
-Jesse Baker (Deli Magazine - Nashville)
