Album Notes

The Velvet Ants were formed in 2006 by Trevor Hart and Ian Margolycz. They released two albums in February of 2007 called Lunatic Frame and Pixie Junk (a collection of b-sides). Both were self-produced and released on the bands own label, T!LT Records. Only a few hundred copies were made, hand numbered and personalized by the band members themselves. Both discs were made available at local record shops in the D.C. area. 2009 saw the worldwide re-release of Lunatic Frame in digital format. In Summer of 2011, the band started work on a new album called Advantage (co-produced and mixed by Ken Stringfellow of The Posies). An Extras album is also in the works including outtakes, alternate versions and original mixes from the sessions. The band is currently performing in the DC/MD/VA area.
