Album Notes

The Woods

L.A. based indie-rock trio. Emotionally charged and to the point.

The Woods is a group of talented/professional musicians that came together under the influence of singer/songwriter Brad Cohen. The Woods was created as a vision that reflects each member's journey throughout life.

Brad Cohen, Los Angeles native and creator of The Woods project specially chose The Woods' musicians based on the desire to express a specific sensibility and energy. His vision is to create music that is a pure representation of the struggles, desires, and love that he experiences on a daily basis. This honesty has been a strong force behind the success of the band.

The Woods have a steady growing fan base in Los Angeles and their self-titled debut album is already creating a buzz. The album is being played on Los Angeles' most innovative and acclaimed non-commercial radio station, KCRW. The Wood's music has also been featured on the television show the Dead Zone.

The Woods are Brad Cohen, Dan Potruch and Danny Dunlap.

Great songwriting mixed with a catchy hook
author: Dylan Martin
This CD is great, it has that eclectic mix of sombre songwriting combined with a bluesy upbeat flavor. I highly recommend it to anyone that is a fan of Coldplay and older Elton John/Beatles albums. This album would make a perfect soundtrack album for any number of films. Here are the lyrics for 6ft under. It took several listens, but I think I got the right. ENJOY!!!............................ 6ft under............................................. I’m free like you, was it the day I left that you finally gave in too? Something new, had to be the last day ooh. You’re bigger than this, I could hardly see, right in front of my eyes you stood for days, (isn’t that strange?) I’m free like you, I’m free like you, 6 ft under, can you hear me, wonder I finally got out, I looked at the world to see, in your eyes, I figured it out, What took you away from me, I know daisies never bloom, inside of my room There’s nothing left, for me, to do, I’m free like you, I’m free like you, I’m free like you, I’m free like you, 6ft under, can you hear me, wonder. All the things I never got to say, had a chance, wasted it away, I never got to ask why. Everywhere I go I see your face, it can’t be there, It’s driving me insane to think its all gone by. I’m free like you, I’m free like you, I’m free like you, I’m free like you, 6ft under, can you hear me, wonder Either way, I know we can make it more, if we can only depend, we only depend, on what fate has for us, this will never end, never end, never end, never end, Never end, can’t you see that this will never end.
