On this record we wanted to capture our live raw sound, so we kept it simple and recorded at home in our garage in Los Angeles, in breaks from the road in 2006 / 2007. We then mixed the songs at Kung Fu Gardens, Linda Perry's studio in North Hollywood, to give it the quality it deserved and to make it sound huge. This is the closest sounding record to our live sound that we ever got. Turn it up loud!

The Thieves Will Be Missed
author: Travis Fox
This EP which is, sadly, the last word from The Thieves screams "Just one more day in the studio!" The songs are hard-cut and full of raw energy, but still fall short of the band's potential. I would say that the standout tracks are Oh Lord and Velcro Colours, but this album should be acting as a comma, not a period, in the sentence of this band's career. The Thieves tread the grounds of rock bastioned by AC/DC in the '70s to lengths that were only touched upon by bigger-name acts like Jet and The Strokes. It will be a shame to see the passing of a band with such potential into the annals of rock as merely a sidenote. They deserve SO MUCH MORE!
