Album Notes

In 2003 The Thins, a power trio founded by Gabe Tavares, Brian Dudla and AJ Strauss banged out their first record to 16 track analog at Johnny Dowd’s recording studio “The Shop” and celebrated the release of “Postcard Angels” at The Enuwan (now called Felicia's) on state st. in Ithaca, NY. Creative intensity, full throated vocal harmonies and unconventional rhythms are the core of our sound.

Notice-- Inconsitancies have been discovered on the lyrics to "2004!" No worries--live performance is still 100% accurate. That's just digital for ya! Thank you those of you that brought inconsistancies to my attention.

Ithaca Journal's Best acoustic CD of 2004: The Thins, "Postcard Angels." ""The power trio of AJ Strauss, Gabe Tavares and Brian Dudla whipped up a huge sound despite its minimalist setup, incorporating tribal rhythms and pointed lyrics into catchy songs. . . Put together three of Ithaca's most talented musicians, and you're bound to come up with something special. That's certainly the case with the Thins. . ." --Jim Catalono, Ithaca Journal
