Jeremy Babcock and Shawn Schlag have been performing as third wheel since 1992, when they took the stage at the Indiana State Fair.

Jeremy began writing songs when he was a young boy growing up in Indiana. Banging out rhythms on a shoebox and recording melodies into a tape recorder, his early adventures amid cornfields and pasture would eventually shape the observational songwriting that has become a cornerstone of the third wheel sound. Just down the lane from Jeremy, Shawn grew up performing in various musical theatre productions. His involvement and interest in music has never waned and he relishes the challenge of adding unique and inspiring harmonies to melodies everywhere.

Jeremy and Shawn often perform as a duo at small acoustic venues in and around Chicago, the city they both call home these days.
For recording projects and larger venues, they are pleased to welcome the adept talents of drummer/percussionist Dan Hoffman and bassist Mike Doty.

The combination of well-crafted songs and mellifluously matched voices come together time and time again as third wheel performs for all kinds of people in all kinds of places.
