Album Notes

Rising from the ashes of the Buffalo, NY band Da’loris, This Is Now's debut album “Hear & Now” displays a maturity and sonic diversity that makes it one of the most promising releases of 2006. From buzzsaw guitars to driving rythyms to rich vocal harmonies, Hear & Now combines the diverse musical stylings and individuality of the band members to create a truly unique style of their own and displays a maturity and sonic diversity of the group.

In recording Hear & Now, the band set their sights on composing and recording a product that truly defined their unique sound. This Is Now is Bob Rich (lead vocals/guitar), Bob Kupczyk (guitars/vocals), Kent Weber (bass/vocals), and Kevin Kilner (drums).

Recorded from December 2004 to July 2005 at Chameleonwest Studios by Alan Farmello and mastered by Nick Blagona at the esteemed Metal Works studios in Mississaugua, Ontario, Hear and Now is a departure from Da’loris’ 2003 debut Evolution.

Hear & Now features 12 songs, including a power punk version of “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds”. Making cameo appearances on the album are Allen Farmello (The Neighbors) on guitar, Dan Delano (Klear) on Hammond B3, guitarist Dave Julian (Last Conservative), trombonist Kevin Moehringer, alto sax player Matt Thomas, trumpet player Vincent Loccisano and world renowned percussionist Tony Miranda.
