Tom Holland's CD

Bought this direct from Tom @ a gig in Madison on August 31, played it repeatedly on our trip back from St. Paul, and it is worth every dime of the $15 spent. This guy is an endlessly inventive player, with a real feel for the blues. Top stuff, and almost better than hearing him live (because the sound's better than it is in most bars).

Tom shows himself as a mature guitar player with a masterful control of the slide. His songs evoke the masters. True to his teachers John Primer and Magic Slim Tom is the real deal! Catch one of his shows with James Cotton or with his band The SHuffle Kings. This CD is damn good!

I saw Tom Holland play at Blue Chicago about 3 years ago; it was great to hear his music again. The only regret I have is that I would have liked more tracks on it. Otherwise, it would be a great addition to anybody's collection.
