Out of the two new disks that became available of this composer, this is the one I prefer the most.
This CD seems to be richer in ethnic moods than the previous releases and it sounds absolutely amazing.
The vocals are sublime. If you want to be moved by music, this CD should really be checked out!
I have many favourite tracks but one that stood out is n° 11, oddly named "Femme Fatale" (as it's based on a poem). Don't let the lowbitrate on this website fool you, it grows into one of the most impressive and haunting tracks of this CD.
"Immortal" track 14, sounds equally impressive., simply stunning...

Great music, lousy recording

Every track on this album is superb, and it's long too, a full 75 minutes of beautiful, epic music. But... and this is a huge "but"... EVERY TRACK IS VARIABLE BITRATE. This results in fuzzy, overdriven sound in some of the more intense walls of sound that Bergersen creates, and believe me in this album there are plenty.
This is why I prefer hardcopy CDs; I feel cheated paying for an album that is not the best quality it could be, not by the composer but by the distributor. This is my first purchase from CDBaby, and will definitely be my last.
