Album Notes

Dan Thomasma is a graduate of the University of Wyoming, class of 1980, and has been writing music and playing professionally for over 25 years.
Terry Yazzolino is a musician and renowned storyteller. He has previously released two music albums and a children's storytelling album on the creation of Yellowstone. The song, Ballad of Sacajawea, was performed for the dedication of the Sacajawea Golden Dollar Coin on February 4, 2000. The event was hosted by United States Mint director Phillip Diehl and U.S. Senator Mike Enzi at the Kelly Elementary School in Kelly, Wyoming. Dan and Terry also performed the Ballad of Sacajawea, as well as Dan's composition, Teton Waltz, with Kelly Elementary students at the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Grand Teton National Park in August of 2000. During the summer and fall of 2000, Dan and Terry,drawing upon their fascination and interest in the Lewis and Clark Expedition, wrote and recorded their first collaborative album, We Proceeded On, Songs of Lewis & Clark. Their second album, Trails Plowed Under, Legends of the West, was released in December of 2003. They have also founded their own music company called Medicine Tree Music.
Dan is currently the Head Teacher at the Kelly Elementary School in Kelly Wyoming, teaching 4th and 5th grade. Dan and his wife Cathy Poindexter live in Jackson with their son Oliver.Their daughter Melissa is a third year student at the University of Chicago. She is a fishing guide on the Snake RIver in Wyoming and Idaho in the summer.
Terry received his education degree from Regis College, and teaches 8th grade History, and Drama at the Jackson Hole Middle School in Jackson Wyoming. Terry lives with his wife Lynda and their sons Miles and Gabriel in Jackson, Wyoming. He also has an older daughter, Hannah who is attending the University of Montana in Missoula.
Terry and Dan continue to play live engagements and also to colaborate on more song writing. Look for more music from this fabulous duo in the future!
