Album Notes

Ireland's music is as beautiful as the country itself. It's traditional tunes make up some of the world's most haunting melodies. No composer better represents Irish music more than the blind Irish bard, Turlough O'Carolan. His music is mostly performed on solo harp and with simple accompaniment. This CD, however, uses various instruments to portray Carolan's music in a style that is more similar to a pub session at times and invokes the energy, grandeur, and beauty of Ireland.

I loved the variety of moods that this cd captures. It was just what I was looking for. It ranges form slow, beautiful tunes to faster songs that sound like they might be from a pirate movie. All in all, great Irish music! A must have for anyone with Celtic blood.
