[Mike Tinkelman, who plays guitar, mandolin and lap steel, performed with Larry Thomasson as the singer-songwriter duo Thomasson and Tinkelman, in the 1970s. For a time they lived a cooperative/musical life in Germantown with their bass player Jimmy Leonard and artist Madeline Rose. Later, Mike performed with the bluegrass band, Brownstone Canyon. He enjoyed an eight-year-run with the Bald Headed Blues Band, which he founded with Tom Wilson. Later he was a founder and keyboard player for more than ten years with the 8-piece R&B/classic rock/horn band, Cliff Turner and the Afterburners. Currently he performs solo on acoustic guitar.]
