Album Notes

Solo artist and Master Guitarist Thomas McElroy strikes out in a new arena for his latest ablum. The world of acoustic music has always been a fascination of his from the time he 1st started playing the guitar.

Starting on the classical guitar lead to studying the repitoire of the guitar. Thomas has also studied the works of the Brazilian masters of guitar such as Luiz Bonfa and Baden Powell. Thomas is also studying Flamenco music and guitarists like Leo Kottke, Doyle Dykes and other fingerstyle guitarists.

Thomas also has a growing interest in different tunings now. He leaves one guitar around the house tuned to DADGAD and is writing tunes all the time in that tuning. Says Thomas "I am starting to feel comfortable with playing in that Leo Kottke kind of style now and want to include that into my song list when I play out. I see so many great guitar players in that style and that really intrigues me and pushes me to start writing and playing in that mode".

This album has something for everyone on it. From Brazilian to Caribbean to classically inspired solo guitar piece surely to bring peace to your heart. It is Thomas's wish that when you purchase this album you come away with a sense of beauty and enjoyment from the album. Solo guitar is one of the most wonderous sounds out there.
