Album Notes

Since 1991 Bob Thompson has been pianist, and regularly featured artist on the internationally-broadcast public radio show, Mountain Stage. For the past fourteen years he has also been co-producer and featured artist on Joy to the World, a Christmas holiday show broadcast, on public radio stations nationwide and, internationally on the Voice of America.
Bob makes his home in the Charleston, West Virginia area, where he has pursued a career in music as a performer, composer, arranger, and teacher. In addition to a long history of performing around the state of West Virginia and the eastern United States, he has also performed in Europe, Africa, and South America.
Bob Thompson has been a guest on Marian McPartland’s Piano Jazz, on National Public Radio, and BET on Jazz with Ramsey Lewis. He also composed and produced the music for ‘West Virginia, a Film History’; a six and one-half hour series seen on Public Television. Bob Thompson’s career includes recordings on Capitol Records, and Ichiban International. His latest recordings are on Colortones.com
