Album Notes

CHECK OUT THE WORLD OF THE THOUSANDS..."Every day, starting today, things will be different."

Fans of fascinating rhyme vocals and exotic beat production are engaged once again in 2007 as the duo of M-Flow and Plovo drop the highly anticipated follow up to their groundbreaking LP, Circulation. Dh6 Productions presents Press the Button, the new full length album from the most exciting group performing psychedelic hip hop in Los Angeles, THE THOUSANDS!

With the release of Press the Button, The Thousands look to push their movement to higher ground with a seventeen-track shotgun full of chest-pounding beat production and innovative rhyme delivery. Throughout the album, the duo spits sophisticated mental awareness intertwined with delirium- drenched diatribes over big drums and dark, piercing melodies. The instrumentation and arrangements have mutated far beyond the perceived borders of hip hop, and the narratives are infused with the kind of wisdom that can only sail from the most introspective of frontal lobes in the music industry...or beyond for that matter.

THIS IS IT, THIS IS THE THOUSANDS!!!

"The Thousands have shown us that the most socio-politically dangerous, sonically mind-blowing music happens when the groove is slapped across the face by the strange progress of the avant-garde (and so few can do it right)." Popstocker Magazine

The Thousands perform live at the Viper Room in Los Angeles on Wednesday, April 13th, 10 PM.

REVIEWS

A Great Listen
author: Seth Stevens
I wouldn't have sought this out if this album wasn't worth a 5 rating. Seriously. These guys have put together a great conceptul masterpiece. "Press The Button" is a beautiful moment in time, that represents the current counter-cultures outcry, for inspirational, thought provoking, and philisophical poetry woven in rhythm and melody.

I saw a show on the tour in October...I loved them!! They are HOT!! I can't get the cd I bought out of my car. I could drive accross the country and never have to change cd's. The music reminds me of every good song that I ever liked...that doesn't make sense, but I just like every song on the album for different reasons....well done!

This is the best Hip Hop Record that I have heard!
author: Jason P
This record takes hip hop to a level never acheived. There are so many levels of intricate sounds it takes you out of your element and into theirs. The lyrics are free of ego driven BS that most rappers bore me with. This record is so punk rock. The time to act is now to stand up and take our country back and this CD is brimming with passion and if the revolution starts tomorrow this will be the soundtrack.
