The chants I have selected for this CD are my friends and healers, the ones that have affected me profoundly throughout my years on the path of awakening. These chants have been my medicine. They have opened the doors of my heart and soul, they have soothed and healed me in times of need, they have been the threads of luscious tapestries of connectedness when I've sung them in groups. They have vitalized me, empowered me, inspired me, and they ahve transported me to direct experiences of my deepest core and to the One that unites us all.

May this CD serve you as a friendly and useful tool in establishing or deepening a chanting practice. May you throw yourself wholeheartedly into this form of meditation and prayer. whether you are experienced or a beginner, I welcome you to join your voice with mine.

I cannot say enough about the remarkable power of sound, voice, and music to add richness and meaning to our lives. My deep commitment to sharing chants is fueled by the many heartfelt stories I continually hear about how people's lives have been touched by the power of chanting, from chants being sung by and for people during births, the dying process, times of emotional turmoil and crisis, as well as the day-to-day healing and inspiration that we all need on our journeys through our lives.
