Steeped in the style of old time electro-psychedelic music, this band creates good sounds for all kinds of folks. The group, based in Northern California’s Sonoma county, has been playing for music lovers in virtually every conceivable venue for over a decade. The band’s gigs and especially its long running, all ages, free Thursday shows have become legendary for locals and visitors alike. Along with frequent local guest musicians, many other players have jammed with the band from time to time. These include Zac Brown, Robin Sylvester, David Gans, Barry Sless, Nina Gerber, Banana, Martin Fiero and others.
This new album of originals and one Grateful Dead classic run the gamut from good old rock and roll to moody trance music, reggae, Miles inspired improvisation and happy hippie dance tunes.
The band is well known for its extended jams and unusual and interesting set choices. No show is ever the same. Obscure gems from the past mix with new originals and Dead tunes for a truly fun, enjoyable experience. The band is made up of experienced, multi-talented music lovers. They perform on a variety of instruments including acoustic and electric guitars, piano, organ, synth, drums, bass, trumpet, flugel horn, baritone horn, trombone, tin whistle and harmonica. The group’s manager has even been known to sit in on saxophone. In addition, the group contains four lead singers who blend and
harmonize with a unique sound.
This is true, original, organic and spirited music which brings the best of the past into the now.
The selections on this album include a tribute to Jerry Garcia (Do You Hear Him Calling?) and homage to the tiny hamlet of Jenner, California (Stories the Wind has Never Told).
