Thunderado is a rock and roll trio with a sound inspired by the Gulf Coast and the California desert. Songs about ghost choirs, casinos, numbers, and temptation create a noir backdrop reminiscent of The Cramps, Tom Waits, and Django Reinhardt.

Album Notes

Thunderado's self-titled debut was recorded in two days using only the three musicians: drummer Kenny Aronoff, bassist / singer Paul Beebe, and guitarist / singer Hunter Perrin.

Aronoff and Perrin got to know each other through playing in John Fogerty's band. The two have travelled the world playing shows with Fogerty including an appearance with rock and roll pioneers Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis at the 2008 Grammy Awards.

Beebe and Perrin grew up together in Texas and have played music since they were kids. Based in Houston, Beebe enjoys a music career playing in regional bands and producing local artists.

Although the boys come from different musical backgrounds, they discovered a common love of juke joint rock and noir mystery. Their sound is well-traveled and evocative, combining influences of western swing, rockabilly, and Tex-Czech dancehall to create Thunderado's own brand of desert rock.
