Thunder Creek's first recording, but they promise it won't be their last! The Thunder Creek boys hail from Southampton County, Virginia. The group stemmed from a church sing Thanksgiving night 2004. They like what they heard and decided to make a go of it.
The boys don't take themselves too seriously and this album reflects that attitude. Listen carefully to the beginning and ending tracks...is it really Wolfman Jack?
Along with many traditional bluegrass melodies, there are two original songs written by two members of the group. "Sounds Like A Bluegrass Song To Me" by George Atkins and "Burning Leaves" written by David Joyner.
These guys are just hard working men in everyday life, who put the Lord first in their lives and they play hard driving bluegrass music for the pleasure of it!

The CD made me think back to my father's pickin and grinnin music that I heard when I was a child and at the same time reminded me of the bluegrass music that I hear today. This is a very enjoyable CD to listen too any time, very upbeat no matter what mood you are in. Honestly, I am so suprised that they haven't been snatched up by Nashville yet, they are all so talented.
