Bill Thurman is a trip! he has covered quite a bit of Celtic and middle-eastern and old fiddle music but he has written a good bit of his own and even occasionally sings. His song "Achille's Jig" was voted 2nd Place for Best Celtic Instrumental Song in the Just Plain Folks Music Awards of 2006. he is a multi-instrumentalist and composer and teacher as well. he teaches his students how to think like good players, composers and artists. eight of his students are playing fiddle along with him on some of the tunes of a new CD coming soon called Fiddlin' for Fun. Bill also repairs and restores old violins.
