"Thursty the Elephant", IT'S TIME TO READ! (YOUR CHILD'S FIRST CD). The warm, lovable Thursty character musically relates the importance of Learning to Read, as well as Learning the Alphabet, Counting, Spelling and Parts of Speech, and Phonics. Thursty even teaches LIFE LESSONS on Being Responsible, Paying Attention, Family Love, Awareness, Self-Confidence, and Self-Love. Wholesome, educational entertainment for the entire family to learn from and enjoy!

Former Motown executive Jonathan Clark discovered a
unique, innovative way to tap into young minds through
music. He observed children listen to and memorize lyrics
of adult songs, regardless of its often inappropriate content. So he thought, "Why not pair Hip-Hop/R&B music with positive, educational lyrics?" Enlisting the help of veteran singer/songwriter and longtime friend Thurston Bilal, together they became Teach 1 Entertainment, and the "Thursty the Elephant" character was born.

With additional help from Communications students at
Huston-Tillotson College, Thursty's informative,
inspirational messages were introduced to the Austin
Texas area, and the IT'S TIME TO READ! project was launched.

Timeless

If there is ONE word that best describes the quality of these learning materials, that would have to be  "timeless".  Not only did my children use these songs to aid in them in their educational development, and they are now teenagers, but they also pass it on to parents  of kids the babysit and parents of their friends as well.
