Album Notes

This record was recorded both in Tian's private studio on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and at David Rozenblatt's studio in Brooklyn. It was an effort of love and devotion that this record got made and those feelings are reflected all over this recording. Featuring Mat Fieldes on Bass, David Rozenblatt and Damian Bassman on drums, Adam Ben-David on Keys, Charlie Porter on trumpet, Mike Boschen on Trombone, and singing with Tian, Nikki Scalera and Julie Denao. This record was born out of NYC clubs like Izzybar and The Elbow Room and is full of NYC funk/soul.

His live performances have garnered him critical praise from celebrities such as Corey Glover and Robbie Rosa. Tian is currently working on a new album, and is playing in and around Los Angeles.

Tian's versatility can be further seen in his work as a producer and film composer. He has produced hip hop and rock tracks for artists such as Untouchable, Truth, New York's Hot 97 Crossover Negro Reese. He has scored films for A & E Biography, a short film by director Hunter Shepherd as well as placed songs on feature soundtracks.

Tian's current sound bears his distinct mark. The new studio recording, due out before 2005, reflects the strength of his writing and producing skill. In live performances, Tian works with Mat Fieldes (The Grammy winning bassist from Joe Jackson's Symphony), Jules Revelle, Darius Holbert , and Frank Ferrer.
