The Tiger and Me create indie-pop music as seen through the looking glass of European folk songs. Three lead vocalists lead a troupe of multi-instrumentalists from gentle folk melodies through to riotous frenzied waltzes, with a wink and a nod to the old cabaret den and speakeasy tradition. The Melbourne sextet ignites the stage with a live show that is an event for any rampant feet out there looking for the ultimate place to whirl and stomp.
Originally a duo, the band's expandsion to a five-piece for a sell-out show at Melbourne's Manchester Lane in April 2008 marked the group’s transformation to the genre-busting sextet they are in 2010. The show was recorded and released, capturing the band’s juxtaposition of high-energy shout outs and gentle folk melodies.

Saw these live as a duo. Kicked myself for not buying their CDs at the gig. Glad I could buy them here (even with the exchange rate!) The music is so catchy. Jane has a fantastic voice. And you will be singing along to impossible lyrics like 'nonsensical ramblings'!
