Album Notes

The Tikiyaki Orchestra is a one man experiment in Exotica. Bored with the trappings of modern-day rock and pop trends,composer/producer/multi-instrumentaist Jim Bacchi, inspired by his love for Tiki and the Polynesian Pop of the 1950's and 60's, strated creating instrumentals in the style of the early lounge and Exotica artists of that period... Martin Denny, Arthur Lyman as well as Esquivel, and the many great surf guitar bands of the 1960's.

Combining exotic percussion, vibes, surf guitar, and a range of other sounds and instruments, the result is a soothing musical picture and an adventure in sound.

Great for headphone listening, a musical mood enhancer for your luau, or relaxing with a cocktail after a hard day at work at your home tiki bar or space age bachelor pad. The Tikiyaki Orchestra will transport you to a beautiful Tropical setting with it's aural treats for the senses.
