Album Notes

Tilhance

This four piece group calls the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, West Virginia home. Previously touring extensively with the highly successful group "Rivers Edge" members Terry Metz(lead, backing vocals, guitar, mandolin, writer), Mike Unger(lead, backing vocals, acoustic guitar, bass, writer) Sam Stilwell(percussion, drums, writer) Ray Jones(lead, slide, resonator, acoustic guitars, and writer) crafted their skills on the road performing 3 consecutive years at the prestigious "Ellipse" at the White House in Wash.D.C. as well as Willie Nelson's nationally recongnized "Farmaid" and the studio releasing 2 cd's, one under the production of Grammy Award winner Larry Butler.

In search of a new sound "Tilhance" was formed. The members returned to the studio writing and producing their current "CD" "Every Other Sunday" from which the first single "Tilhance Creek" was released in Europe with great airplay success. Tilhance is proud to announce the release of their entire "CD" in the spring of 2003 under the Comstock Records lable. From the beautiful „Mountain State” West Virginia we received a very interesting and miscellaneous CD by the band Tilhance founded in January 2001 and named after the river Tilhance Creek in West Virginia. In the spring of 2002 they signed a contract with Comstock Records publishing their first album “Every Other Sunday”. On this cd there’s really something for everyone on it. A remarkable mixture of Newgrass, Rock and Westcoast Sound will impress you. There are even acoustic-musical elements mixed up with rockin’ sounds, nearly not comparible with any other band. If you’re now interested to now more about Tilhance, just have a trip to their homepage, where you can listens to songs like “Tilhance Creek”, “September” or the nice two-step “The Gandy Dancers. Maybe you like to order a cd, it’s really something special
