Tim Berens is an orchestral guitarist, an arranger and a soloist for the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, as well as an active and avid jazz guitarist. He has performed on more than 35 CDs with the Cincinnati Pops and other orchestras, toured nationally and internationally, been featured as a soloist on many nationally telecast PBS specials and has performed as a soloist center stage at Carnegie Hall with the Pops. "Another Rhumba for Armando" is the first jazz CD he released as a leader.

Eclectic and traditional, all at the same time. This is a group of classical musicians playing jazz - something that doesn't always work. But in their case, great musicianship, pulling quotes from odd (and old) places, and a great feel for the music really comes together. These cats can play!

A sophisticated, soulful, swinging blend of jazz and classical music. The feel is a bit Latin and a bit straight ahead jazz combo: an auspicious marriage of flamenco and latin jazz. It has a great understated skulking jazz vibe with classical guitar as the central focus. Still, there is plenty going on in these arrangements to keep it fresh for each time you listen.
