Album Notes

With rock infused ballads, Tim Corley is a rare Gem among today's music scene: particularly because as an American, his music has a certain quality often only heard from British/UK artists. One hears the pop-rock sensibility similarly found in notable bands such as Coldplay and Keane. It's a wonder he spent most of his life in San Diego and had not one surfer song to his name. Others like Jack Johnson and Tristan Prettyman have made the Western Locale famous for that sound.

Tim offers a unique freshness with songs like "All I have" and "Turnaround" off the album "Like Stars". It's urban, modern, quintessential mood music; like feng shui for your ears. Everything is in perfect balance. Jason Mraz said Tim has the 'voice of an angel' and its clear to see why. On this album, ambient vocal arrangement and his pure vocal tone soars over sensitive lyrics about love/loss. Tim calls it "Melodic Depression", but there is something more. "Like Stars" is the perfect soundtrack to a rainy day walk through the city streets or maybe better yet, a lonesome long trip across the country by someone looking to find themselves. REVIEWS

This CD is a definite must have!

I wish I could remember how I discovered the link for this CD because it was a lucky fluke. The songs are addictive, and the CD is far too short which leaves you wanting to hear more. Hopefully the word about this recording and the talented Tim Corley will spread fast and far.

It's not often someone hands you a cd "made by a friend" and you really can dive into it. But the songs on Corley's new cd have a feel about them which I rarely find in the stuff I download from iTunes. I'd have to describe this disc as exciting yet comforting. The kind of music which makes me think, but I can give to people of wide music tastes. The hook on "Summers End" will stick with you for days...
