Being "One on One" with God is not something to which we are accustomed. There are many distractions and barriers which prevent us from spending quality time in intimate communication with our Maker. The Scriptures teach us that we were not designed to struggle through life on our own power alone, but rather to draw our strength from a love relationship with Jesus Christ, opening our hearts to Him and trusting Him in every detail of our lives. Jesus said,
"Take care to live in Me, and let Me live in you. For a branch can't produce fruit when severed from the vine.
Nor can you be fruitful apart from Me." (John 15:4)
It is my prayer that this CD will provide for you an atmosphere of peaceful reflection as you worship
our awesome God... "One on One".

Peaceful Reflection...Impeccable Musicianship
author: Sean
When one is in search of an album that will help to strip away the stress of modern life, the array of new age junk on store shelves can get quite disheartening. The people who make these albums have low expectations of their listeners; album after album of mass-produced "calming" music is a swamp of synthesizers and faux- native american sounds (the occasional bird call), piled on top of each other for no other reasons than to: 1. Cover up the lack of musicianship and care for arrangement, and 2. To apparently achieve this "calm" by bludgeoning the listener into a daze with sonic mud.
In such a landscape, Tim Frantz's "One On One" is a breath of fresh air. Indeed, to call this masterpiece "relaxation music" would be a severe discredit to the music and its creator, as Frantz weaves country, classical, and folk guitar styles into a sort of Phil-Keaggy-esque Americana, through which the listener achieves relaxation and reflection by the sheer precision and beauty of his various originals and covers. Whether it's the Frantz-penned "Living Water", Bob Seger's "Livin' in the country", or hymns like "His Eye is On The Sparrow", Frantz makes no secret that he is worhipping his creator through his careful and brilliant arrangements, which makes it all the more easy for the listener to do the same.
