James Still's play Amber Waves traces the story of immigrants who settle on a farm in Indiana. Sometime Hollywood actor and Indiana farmer, Grimm enlisted the help of local songwriter Wilber in penning the material- individually, and as collaborations. Acoustic in presentation and appropriately rural in feel, the incidental instrumentals and songs, plus Guthrie's Blowin' Down This Old Dusty Road, convey masterfully this tale of a family who despite hardship, found their persoal nirvana in the mid-west.
