Tim Laughlin (pronounced Lock-lin) was born and raised in New Orleans, a city constantly re-inventing itself. His style and sound are uniquely his own, contrasting the classic style he grew up listening to and the contemporary influences of many.
As a Yamaha performing artist, he can occasionally be seen teaching clinics at various schools, from elementary to university. When not in New Orleans playing club dates, Laughlin is hard at work touring and promoting his latest release in just about every corner of the world.
His latest release, "A Royal St. Serenade" is a collection of swinging jazz classics, with a combination of early pop songs and four originals by Laughlin. He has once again collaborated with Jason Marsalis(vibes), Matt Perrine(bass), Bunchy Johnson(drums) and Larry Scala (guitar).

A Royal Street Serenade
author: Connie Yannone
I always love Tim Laughlin's music. My husband and I were lucky enough to see Tim in New Orleans the spring before Katrina hit the city. We were with a tour group and happened by the club where he was playing. I wish our theatre here in Pittsfield could hire Tim for a show so everyone could enjoy his music as well.
