Tim Morgon was a very popular folk singer/entertainer in the Newport Beach area in the 1960s. He released four albums, recorded live at the "Prison of Socrates" in Balboa, Ca. This is the first album in a series of four that he recorded. Tim's career was stifled by poor management but he continued to sing and entertain until 1981.
Although he hasn't performed for over 20 years, his name is still remembered by the people who grew up in So. Calif. in the 60s and 70s, and most of his fans don't even have a record player to play the old albums. And besides that, his albums are over 30 years old, and not in the best of condition. Now Tim Morgon's albums are available on CD. Old fans can go back in time and relive the precious memories of the beach towns, coffee houses, and hearing Tim sing. As one fan said, "I put on Tim's CD, poured a glass of wine, closed my eyes, and I was back at the 'Prison' and he was singing to me". Contact Tim at tmorgon@aol.com, he would love to hear from you.

I went to high school from 1960 to 1963 in Southern California and went to many shows at the Prison of Socrates between cruising Newport or Balboa. Most of the songs we heard at the Prison are on the four recorded live Albums. I listen and sing along with the songs every week.
