Album Notes

Tim Morgon was a main attraction in Balboa, Calif. in the early 1960s along with Dick Dale and the Righteous Brothers at the Rendezvous, the Jolly Roger on Balboa Island, the Fun Zone and miles of sandy beach. Tim played at the Prison of Socrates for almost 6 years and recorded 4 albums. This is the third album of the set.
Shortly after this album was realeased, Tim ran into management problems and he was unable to even try to expand his career. But he always kept busy singing at the Ice House in Pasadena or Glendale, a college or high school concert, or night club somewhere in So. Calif. or a tour in the midwest. In the 70s he was able to free himself to sing voice-overs for TV and movies, and do an occasional commercial. He worked with some of the top entertainers in the business. Steve Martin opened for Tim at the "Prison" when Steve was first starting. John Denver worked with him at concerts along with Bill Cosby, Pat Paulson, and others. David Letterman opened for Tim at the Ice House, as did Gallager, Lily Thomlin, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, to name a few. Tim performed for the last time on stage on July 31, 1981.
Even though he has not performed for 20 years, he still gets requests for his old albums. Somewhere at a party, someone asks, "Whatever happened to Tim Morgon?", and some way or another, they contact him and ask for an old album or if the albums are available on CD.
