“15 Times Around”–New Compilation CD
from Tim O’Shea & Friends(Music from Co. Kerry IRL & beyond) Tim O’Shea & Friends Cat No. LAKCD004
To celebrate 15 Years ‘on the road’, Tim O’Shea & Friends have released the compilation CD “15 Times Around”. Most of the 15 tracks are from Tim’s 4 previous recordings with the addition of newly recorded and unreleased tracks.
Steve Wickham of the Waterboys, features on 2 tracks, both original compositions.
The CD is full of variety with a mix of tunes, contemporary & traditional folk songs. Centrepiece is the traditional music from the south & west of Ireland, (Sliabh Luachra - Kerry & Co. Clare), and original compositions. This CD also charts the course of Tim & Friends music, displaying the many talents and musicians Tim has been lucky enough to work with over the last 15 years. The tunes feature trademark, Polkas, Slides, Slow Airs and of course Jigs and Reels. There are fiddles, whistle, accordions, concertina, uilleann pipes, bodhrán, djembe & guitars.
The songs feature guest vocalists and original compositions and some well known songs with new musical treatments. There are also a few live tracks recorded in Ireland, America and Germany. With 13 musicians and singers in all there is plenty variety for the ‘seasoned traditional fan’, lovers of the contemporary songs and old songs given a new lease of life.
Enjoy.

Great album I've listened to the singing of Tim O'shea for several years & can't get enough of his voice. Plus his origional songs are a treat I especially love Wexford town, lake of learning & whole world round. Not to mention his guitar sound & the other instrumentals included. A Must for any one into Irish music
