ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
His name is Tim Chaisson. And already, in his early twenties, the poised-for-international success folk/pop singer/songwriter multi-instrumentalist from Prince Edward Island has:

-Recorded 3 critically-acclaimed studio albums (writing and producing every song, and playing every instrument himself)
-Won 5 2007 Music PEI Awards for his third CD, “Even”
-Received an ECMA nomination for Pop Recording of the Year for “Even”
-Won Song of the Year at the 2002 Music PEI Awards for “The Source”
-Been a two-time ECMA nominee with the Celtic group Kindle in 2001 and 2002
-Taken his music across the country and internationally
-Worked in Hollywood on invitation with producers Steven Miller (Sting, Pink, Suzanne Vega) and John Fields (Switchfoot, Mandy Moore)
- And received Honorable Mentions for songs “All Over Again” and “Better Way” at the 2007 Billboard World Song Contest

Now, he has made the migration from solo artist to leader of a full band, as 2008 has seen the formation of Tim Chaisson and Morning Fold – a four piece group that is getting standing ovations, rave reviews, and packed houses everywhere they play. A stacked crew of some of the best young talented rock musicians in Atlantic Canada, the band consists of Chaisson (lead vocals, acoustic guitar, mandolin, fiddle and keys), Tian Wigmore (guitars and backing vocals), Rheo Rochon (bass), and Nat Lamoureux (drums and backing vocals). And as they continue to perfect their heart-pounding stage show, it seems inevitable that they will be destined for national and international touring circuits in the coming year.

Yearning. Passion. Nostalgia. Hope. Days gone by. Days to come. Friends. Friends no more. Love come and gone. Love here to stay. The way through it all. A listen to a Tim Chaisson album takes you down this road and back again—all the while shining in its pop creativity as it holds true to his Island musical roots at the same time: A difficult feat for an artist still so young—but he does all this, and still leaves you wanting more at the end.

And, as Tim Chaisson and Morning Fold are now in the midst of recording their highly-anticipated new record in Austin, Texas with producer and Canadian icon Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar, The Trews, Joel Plaskett), it seems we are about to get more of what we’ve been waiting for very soon.

He’s taken his music from Bear River, PEI, to Hollywood, California, to Billboard, and now to Austin, Texas. And if you haven’t heard it yet, with one listen, you’ll be taken by it as well.

His name is Tim Chaisson. His band is Morning Fold. Remember it: So you can say you knew them when...
