Every since Tim can remember he’s always had an intense passion for music. Like most he grew up listening to Motown and was truly inspired but what really did it for him were sounds like Nat King Cole’s “The Christmas Song”, John Coltrane’s version of “My Favorite Things” and the soundtrack of “The Westside Story”. You see his older sisters were the main suppliers of the music he was exposed to early on. As a result Tim was introduced to a healthy myriad not to mention styles of music. Mind you he still grooves to several genres but truth be told at heart he’s a straight up rocker. Originally Tim was homegrown in Philadelphia, PA as for now he’s anchored in Leesburg, VA.“Through internalizing I discovered music as an excellent means of self- expression and a positive outlet for creativity, the rest as they say is history”. Foremost is his guitar; he currently has a Stratocaster and a Takamine G series acoustic. Additionally he plays keyboards, in particular an Alesis QS 6.1. To piece it all together he runs Logic Audio Pro and Reason on his MAC G5 computer. When Tim needs to take “his band” on the road he packs it all up in his iBook. As a rule he doesn’t listen to mainstream artists. All the music he downloads comes from artists that generally speaking most people will never hear. In his opinion, there are TONS of great indie and unsigned stuff on the Net that are just as entertaining if not more so.

Terrific music!

When a friend put this cd on my player I had no idea what to expect. It's not easy to categorize this cd, and that's what I like about it! There's rock, blues, jazz and far more besides. It's amazing how so much excellent music has been packed into just one cd and how well each track compliments the next. I quickly became absorbed in the music. Thoroughly enjoyable and very impressive work. A highly talented artist indeed.

Back in The Alley
author: Rodrica
Once I had walked down this alley, I never wanted to leave. I have long been an admirer of Tim Sanders' work, but this latest cd surpassed all expectations. I was taken on a journey through every emotion and was mesmerized by the sheer excellence and expertise. It began with the dark and dramatic No Problem, through powerful stadium rock like Cardiac Candy, the grand orchestral soundscape of A Silent Goodbye, the melodic beauty of A Love Song She'll Never Hear on to the soulful electric guitar in Gone that tugged at my heartstrings. There are many styles incorporated within this cd and crossover tracks that amazed and delighted me. I indulged in the jazziness of In The Kool Lane and reveled in the reggae-influenced To See You Again. The full-on traditional bluesy Last Call was the perfect end to the experience. The cd flows seamlessly from each masterpiece to the next with wonderful arrangements, outstanding musicianship and quality production. I immediately had to listen to it again and again - there is so much to discover and enjoy within this cd and each time I return to it I find something new.
