2008 NATIVE AMERICAN MUSIC AWARD NOMINEE AS "FLUTIST OF THE YEAR!"
"Welcome to my lodge." If you are seeking to find peace within your heart and have a longing to be guided on an inner journey of Truth, then claim your place within the circle.”
Master story teller and musician Tim Yett, who is of Cherokee heritage, takes the listener on an inner journey into spirit through guided imagery and stories of the natural world. “Creating Sacred Space” came into being by sitting in meditation either alone or sharing in ceremony with members of many different tribes indigenous to the northern hemisphere. Each individual shared in their own way their understanding of the universal Truth. This CD is able to provide the seeker only a glimpse into the sacred circle and awe inspiring world of Native Culture.
Tim Yett is a 2008 Native American Music Award (NAMA) Finalist as the FLUTIST OF THE YEAR! The song submitted is the second track on this CD "A Burning." He is a 2007 NAMA finalist Nominee as well as 2007 Indian Summer Music Award finalist Nominee for his debut release: "Breath Maker." Tim is a licensed practitioner of the healing arts specializing in complementary and alternative medicine. Tim is a contemporary spiritual teacher who is not aligned with any particular religion or tradition but emphasizes the powerful foundation practice of prayer and meditation as a means to connect with the universal Truth. He conveys his message with uncomplicated clarity that is delivered more clearly through the music than the words that are spoken. Tim said recently: “Don’t look at me, look beyond me. We are in a time of expanding consciousness. This is your time to look inward and find your own Truth.”

As a medical doctor and Swinomish tribal member working in the Upper Skagit Tribal Clinic I recommend Creating Sacred Space for relatation therapy for my patients. I also use it during massage therapy in the medical clinic. It is a good integration of native teaching, music and relaxation therapy. Truly a healing work.

Tim Yett's music is profoundly riveting, with the intensity of his rhythmic music amplified by the deep Doby style percussions and his vivid spiritual imagery, painting an image of heaven on Earth enlivened with spirit, nature, and tradition, moving the listener into a transcendent space where spirit, nature, and physical form loose all humanly boundaries.
