Album Notes

Tina Davis is showcasing her gift of singing and songwriting in her new release “Falling in Love Again”. Released January of 2009 in Honolulu, Hawaii this album takes you on a journey of love, heartbreak, hope and rediscovery hence the lyrical content on each track. It conveys through song the challenges that are faced in life and how they have given her the opportunity to express herself through song and poetic prose. “Love Shouldn’t Hurt So Bad” and “It Wasn’t Worth The Pain” was written in the earlier stages of her journey. “Lord I’m Calling You and Sometimes I Wonder” were written when it became clear to her that GOD was not allowing these things to happen to her but for her personal growth. Tina hopes to use her music as therapy to minister to those with similar life experiences. She also wants to convey to her listeners that despite the challenges incurred along the way; there truly is hope for healing, finding peace and ultimately finding love again as delivered in “Falling In Love Again and I Can Be Your Queen”. She also introduces a hint of Central American essence with Spanish vocals in her song “Te Quiero.”

Born in Queens New York, Tina has always had singing and songwriting in her heart and as her passion since childhood as noted in “This Has Been My Dream.” She began playing the piano at age five and wrote and published her first song in 1989. Tina writes all of her music and hopes to release the remaining 150 compositions in the near future. A graduate of George Washington University and Central Texas College, she serves her country as a member of the Armed Forces until her retirement date. Tina now lives in Germany where she will continue to promote her music to support the local Women’s Shelter. Tina has performed in the Panama Republic of Panama and has performed in several venues in Hawaii to include the “Taste of Kalihi” an annual charity event hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.

Tina states that her musical influences have always been Angela Windbush, Shirley Murdock, Alyson Williams, Albertina Walker and a host of other Artists from mixed genres. This album is a lyrical blend of Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Jazz and Funk interjecting soothing vocals that tell a story. She attributes her healing to the blessings of her Creator. “Falling In Love Again” will allow you to experience these blessings as you join her on her journey of hope and rediscovery. Enjoy

Love's Story

This is a smooth rendition of Love's story. From beginning to end we are taken on a journey that so many of us have experienced via smooth lyrics, composition, and vocals. This album is both inspirational and delivering, putting into words what so many of us struggle to express. I’m glad that this dream did come true, and hopefully is will help others accomplish theirs. I love it from beginning to end, from the hurt, the healing, and looking to the future. “Sometimes I Wonder” what is next to come. Keep is coming!

Friendship to the side, I am Tina's fan for real. This cd is bananas! I just copped my cd this weekend and I am "falling in love again" and again with my cd as I play it over and over because I just can't "let it go". "Sometimes I wonder" if it was "worth all the pain" Tina had to endure, but then I truly "thank you, "Queen", for this chance" to share with all of us what "has been your dream". I honestly love the whole cd. It is so diverse. I danced, I sung, I rapped, I cried, and I celebrated with this cd. It is so positive. It shows how important the rain in our lives can help us grow and move on. Well written. Beautiful arrangement of instruments. Vocals on point. So much attention to detail. So very well organized. Star quality. I am impressed and proud of my sister. I am not suprised at Tina's talents, but even this work of art has caught me by a pleasant surprised. Please do not sleep on this artist. It is well worth it. No doubt.

This is truly an inspirational album from an extraordinarily compassionate, thoughtful, and caring woman. For Ms. Davis to be able to put this beautiful music took so much hard work without sacrificing a single second of her time helping the many thankful people in her life, especially her soldiers. She deserves all the success in the world and hopefully we don't have to wait too long before the release of her sophomore album. If this was a test, "Falling in Love Again" would definitely pass with flying colors!
