Album Notes

Dan Tindall is a singer, songwriter and musician from Northern Ireland. He plays modern acoustic folk, country and blues based tunes of his own invention, drawing on his love of artists from many eras.
He is an able musician, playing various guitars, mandolin, harmonica and even a little percussion. He writes and produces all his own material, and is a strong advocate of the independent do-it-yourself attitude to music.

As well as this CD, he has produced a number of online singles, and a downloadable EP "Black Butterfly" - more info via the official website.

A new CD is now also available through CDBaby "Inside Outside".

The artist writes...

-"You Know How It Goes" is a collection of 17 songs, drawn from an original body of work about 30 strong. Acoustic tunes, referencing everything from 30's blues to modern day 'unplugged', recorded in the belief that acoustic instruments are more than window dressing for pop and rock. Does that sound a little pretentious? It isn't meant to be. I just love 'real sounds'. I like slide guitar, and a mean blues harp. I like mandolins and 12-strings. I like funny-unhappy lyrics about what it's like to be alive. And that's why I write, play, and record.

These tunes have been played on internet radio around the world, and been streamed on various internet sites. With minimal promotion, tunes like 'No Fear' and 'Put On A Show' have received a lot of plays and achieved good chart placings on sites like SoundClick (the world's biggest OMD, apparently), Funender, ScrubRecords etc. People seem to like them. Which surprises me a little sometimes - I can't pretend they're fashionable or modern, just as honest and well-crafted as I can make them.

But it's not up to me to tell you what to think - take a listen and make up your own mind!
