Album Notes

The second full length CD release from Dan Tindall comes after a year and a half of writing, playing, recording, and a lot of sitting around staring into space thinking about stuff...

With the fun and intelligent folk of "How Did It Come To This?" and "Something Good About You", the surreal everyday lyricism of "Ballad Of Frosty Blue" and "All This Time", and the off-hand satire of "Paying The Rent" and "Inside Out", this album, simply recorded to capture a full natural acoustic sound, makes no pretense to be anything other than a set of good songs in an uncomplicated setting. Add to this the folkish sensibilities of "Darkest Hour" and "Everything Is Gone", as well as the final bleak pay-off "Maybe You Are", and you have a recording which takes the listener on a well-paced journey through the quirky and twisted little avenues of life.

No tricks, no cheating, and no synthesized sounds. Just a couple of acoustics, a little harmonica and slide guitar. The focus here is on the song, and the performance. Enjoy...
